Mateu da Mula Manca is born from the desire to build a narrative grounded in cultural traditions as the driving force of the story, reinterpreting elements of Brazilian folklore. In the mystical lands of Piranambuco, the maracatu, the cangaço, the carnival and other expressions of popular culture come to life in an epic adventure of music, magic and resistance.
A young rabeca fiddler must rise against an authoritarian regime to rescue his best friend, the Mula Manca, bearer of an ancestral power. Along the way, Mateu gathers allies who come to share his cause.
